Daniel Wroughton Craig was born March 2, 1968 he is an English actor. Craig formed the National Youth Theater and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991, before beginning his career on stage. His first film was in the drama The Power of One 1992. Other early appearances were in the film of the Disney family A child in the court of King Arthur 1995, and Elizabeth biopic 1998 and in the television series of historical war drama Eagle Sharpe (1993) and the series action-adventure drama Zorro. Cast as British secret agent James Bond of fiction in October 2005, his first film role in Casino Royale, was released internationally in November 2006. Craig appearances in British television film Love is the Devil : Study for a portrait of Francis Bacon 1998, the independent film war trench 1999, and the drama Some Voices 2000, drew the attention of the film industry. This led to roles in major productions like the action movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2001, the thriller Road to Perdition 2002, the thriller Layer Cake 2004 and Steven Spielberg's historical drama Munich 2005. Craig has achieved international fame when chosen as the sixth actor to play the role of Ian Fleming's James Bond in the official series of the film, taking over from Pierce Brosnan in 2005. Although its cast was initially met with skepticism, his debut was highly acclaimed and earned him a BAFTA nomination, with Casino Royale become the biggest hit of the series at the time.
